Kerry Dairy Unveils New Product Range Blended with Oat and Dairy

Kerry Dairy Consumer Foods, a subsidiary of Kerry Group’s dairy business Kerry Dairy Ireland, has introduced a “category first” line of oat and dairy blended products.

The SMUG Dairy collection, marketed as “a disruptive new brand,” comprises milk, cheese, and butter manufactured from “the goodness of dairy and plants.”

“This unique combination of oat and dairy offers consumers the ‘best of both worlds’ without compromising on the rich, creamy taste of dairy” , according to the business.

The goods will be available in selected supermarkets in the UK beginning at the end of March.

Kerry Dairy Ireland has not yet indicated if the products will be made available to Irish consumers.

Kerry Dairy Ireland stated that the SMUG Dairy range, which has less saturated fat, was created in response to changes in customer behaviour and tastes in recent years.

It further stated that the brand’s goal is to “bring real innovation to the dairy category and shake up the binary perceptions of dairy and non-dairy markets”.

Kerry Dairy Consumer Foods’ strategy, marketing, and innovation director, Victoria Southern, stated that the company’s first-to-market category launch in the UK not only introduces a new and exciting brand for dairy lovers, but also establishes a dairy category for the future.

“This is an exciting launch for Kerry Dairy Consumer Foods as we continue to deliver against our mission to reimagine dairy through innovation and sustainability to inspire a better future.”

Kerry Group raised milk prices to 40c/L in February, up from 39.5c/L previously.
